Quinoa, Chard, and Apple Salad Ingredients
- 2 small shallots, sliced
- 1 bunch chard
- 2 apples, diced
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- ¼ cup sour cherries, dried
- ¼ cup walnuts, toasted
Quinoa, Chard, and Apple Salad Preparation
- Slice the chard and discard the stems. Set it aside.
- Heat a skillet and add the chard, shallots, and apples. Cook until the shallots have become golden, around 10 minutes. Add the vinegar and scrape up bits from the pan bottom. Add the cherries and another quarter cup of water. Cook another 5 minutes.
- Top the chard mix with the walnuts.
