Bagel Tart Ingredients
- All-purpose flour, for dusting
- 1 sheet (14 oz.) frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1 large egg, beaten, plus 6 whole large eggs
- 2 tbsp. “everything” seasoning
- 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
- • 1½ cups (6 oz.) shredded Gruyère cheese
- • 3 oz. smoked salmon, torn into bite-size pieces
- • 2 tbsp. chopped chives
Bagel Tart Preparation
- Preheat oven to 425°.
- Cut parchment paper to fit a 13-by-18-inch baking sheet.
- On counter, dust paper lightly with flour and roll out puff pastry on paper, to an 11-by-14-inch rectangle.
- Slide parchment and pastry onto the baking sheet.
- Score a 1-inch border around the pastry; prick center all over with a fork.
- Brush border with 1 beaten egg and sprinkle with bagel seasoning.
- Bake until golden, 13 to 15 minutes. Spread cream cheese inside border, sprinkle with Gruyère, and crack 6 eggs, evenly spaced, across the top.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Bake until whites are set, 12 to 15 minutes more.
- Top with smoked salmon and chives.
- Serves 6.
